Making a residency program in Thailand. Baan Noon, a town near the border with Myanmar. There are many Myanmar workers here, both legal and illegal (therefore, the silhouette is not personally identifiable). It’s illegal to drive a motorcycle, but if take that one away from him/her, It makes their lives very hard. It was impressive to see, they were very proudly riding their shiny bikes, which they had bought with their get pay from the factory. We had motorcycle washing and filming in the local temple’s assembly hall. The local Thai coordinator instructed them to “wash more” and “be more careful”. The way they were washing their bikes while chatting with each other overlapped with the way they usually work at the factory under instructions from their bosses.
